Left Armagosa by about 8am. Gav and I are confident that the sheets had not been changed. I was wishing I had planted something in the bottom of the sheets when we first went in the room and found it unmade. Gav ended up sleeping in his clothes incase they hadn't been changed. They were paper thin anyway and just a weird hotel.

Thanks to Simon's borrowed Mazda, Charlie, Dave and Megan sharing their free suite in Tahoe and Frank letting us use his chalet in Mammoth with a happy hour recommendation at Rafters, it as a pretty cheap three days. ... up at glacier point. A perfect way to end the day. We then begin the long drive back to the coast south of San Francisco.

We head out through the south entrance which is equally curvy, and mostly down hill. It is basically a coast down the mountain for an hour, and I see that the suburban is getting over 40 MPG, not bad for a gas guzzler.

As we hit the valley floor we go for miles and miles across farmland. Strawberries, blueberries, flowers, ...
