... our backs against a large slab of granite that had crashed from the mountains above in the far-distant history, providing a natural windbreak for us. In front of us, the water sparkled and gurgled as it made its way to the funnel feeding into the falls, and behind it rose the majestic Liberty Cap, with Half Dome peeking out from behind, enticing us to climb further. Yosemite National Park This was never really part of our route until a few weeks prior - so many people had told us about here and how it was not to be missed! So we hired a car in Vegas and started the drive towards San Francisco. I guess that's why everyone else was there too. Tomorrow we head to a motel and look forward to not having to line up for a shower. If this trip has taught us anything it's that you should always appreciate the little things. Barney and Bec ...

... it was bizarre... especially as some of these roads were empty freeways of 3-4 lanes each side. We stopped at Los Banos for Target wanting to stock up on Polaroid film. I ended up getting a Popcorn & Coke for $2. They have a Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and so much more all inside this Target! Even a produce and refrigerated section... crazy. After our short stop and using the Wi-Fi to check up on Facebook, we kept heading to the coast. The scenery only very mildly ...
