... The whole place had a really sad feel to it and we scuttled off.
On a whim. we stopped in a little place where I saw a sign for an ice-cream parlour. We had been through so few places with any shops at all, that it was a bit of a novelty.
Espresso explosion sounded just like my sort of ice-cream, which indeed it was.

... it’s the most breath taking view he has ever seen and I agree. You could see everything from up there! We saw half dome and Nevada falls and vernal falls and bridal veil falls and we could see curry village and Tenaya Creek and Yosemite upper and lower falls. We saw the tiny cars driving along the roads. Honestly I cannot describe the beauty and the photographs won’t do it justice.
We left Glacier Point and went on the hunt for petrol which ...
... on the carry-on. We just have to get there.
The next couple of days will be spent tying up some loose ends at home to make sure the house will be livable when we get home. One forgotten trash can or fridge item could really be nasty after nearly a month away. We head to So. Cal. tomorrow to visit our Boys and their families. The bittersweet part will be seeing Shawn only briefly before he heads off to Kuwait in defense ...
... the trees around me...all alone, in the dark I remembered all the informative signs we'd seen the day before about bears and mountain lions with the helpful advice - If attacked, fight back! Yeh, me versus a mountain lion...that I'd like to see....or rather really REALLY wouldn't like to see. In reality it was probably nothing...or at best a raccoon or something but I hot footed to the bus stop just to be on the safe side!

from the northeast at Olmstead Point on Tioga Road, not far from Tuolumne Meadows; from the southwest at Glacier Point, where we spent the better part of a day looking down at the Yosemite Valley, and from the valley below.
