Beyond Fabulous

We just returned from a one week stay at O Canada House and it was wonderful! The breakfasts were to die for and the accomodations were well appointed, cozy, but still spacious. (We stayed in the North Suite.) The staff was always warm, friendly and willing to help with anything you need from laundry service to dinner reservations to suggestions for touring the city. We were within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see. I could go on and on about how much we loved this B&B.

A Perfect B & B

My husband and I stayed at O Canada House in Vancouver in March and were so pleased with everything. The house is perfectly located downtown within short walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. Sitting in the lovely backyard garden was so peaceful and quiet we couldn't believe we were in the heart of a large city! From the moment we entered the lobby we felt completely comfortable and at home. The house is beautifully decorated, amazingly clean, and very inviting. However, it's the staff that makes it one of the best places we've ever stayed. Helene goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome without being the slightest bit intrusive. Rick's breakfasts are to die for--the best quiche we've ever tasted. Thank you both for a wonderful stay--please come and visit us in North Carolina anytime!

Absolutely Charming!

The O Canada House's convenient location, superb breakfasts (especially the eggs benedict), wonderful accomodations, and friendly staff can't be beat!

Wonderful B&B - O'Canada House

We just spent our Christmas holiday at a fabulous B&B in Vancouver, BC - called the O'Canada House. What a wonderful place to stay! The decor was very nice - Victorian, but the hosts were what made the stay special - Helene, Rick, and Heather. They made us feel welcome and catered to our needs by making reservations for us, giving us directions, taking pictures, etc. The food was incredible and oftimes served as both breakfast and lunch. Even the music played in the parlor was delightful. The location enabled us to walk most everywhere and was easily found given their instructions.

We also spent some time at another B&B in Victoria - Prior House. Although it was fancier, it was not anywhere near as delightful as the O'Canada House. We plan to go back again someday and stay at the O'Canada House.

Superb B&B in Fab Location

My wife and I recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at O Canada House in downtown Vancouver. This is an absolutely beautiful B&B located just two blocks from Robson Street. Helene the Innkeeper and her staff do a fabulous job making O Canada House a warm and comfortable place to stay. From the guest pantry with complimentary beverages and light snacks to the wireless internet to the "bang on" restaurant reservations it was all perfect and so amazingly clean!

Its hard to fathom why one would consider staying at a big hotel for the same or more money when you can get a better room in a more personalized environment and not get nickled and dimed every time you want a Coke or need to make a phone call.

Like home from home

We stayed in this bed and breakfast in September 2004 - we booked it following reviews on trip adviser, and it really went beyond our expectations. This bed and breakfast is so warm and welcoming, the staff are so helpful and polite. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite for 2 nights, which was fantastic - the beds were comfortable and the room was really clean, and we then moved into the South Suite which again was great. The breakfasts were sumptuous, really tasty, with lovely surprises each morning, served up by Ruby. All the staff at this bed and breakfast went out of their way to help us, they gave us tips for downtown and helped us plan the rest of our route. O'Canada House is more than just a house, it's a fantastic home to relax in during your downtown stay. Ooh, I almost forgot, helping yourself to the pantry is another perk of staying in this fantastic B&B.

One of the best places we have stayed in

My wife and I rate the "O Canada" house one of the best places we have stayed in North America and Europe. We rented the top floor and appreciated the space and comfort as well as great beds and the provided bath robes. The breakfast was unexpectedly large and excellent and I had to work at finishing it. The O Canada house is downtown and an easy walk to the downtown. It is quiet in the evening and we felt comfortable in the neighborhood. We enjoyed a glass of Sherry at the end of the day in the front room.

O Canada House was terrific!

The O Canada House is a great place to stay and Vancouver is a wonderful city! The Victorian house is charming and accomodations were quite elegant. The breakfasts were awesome and the staff took care of our every needs. It was truly relaxing - either drinking coffee on the porch in the am or sipping wine in the pm after a long day of exploring Vancouver and surrounding areas. While there are homeless people in Vancouver, we felt quite safe and the "problem" was no worse than any other major metropolitan area. We highly recommend spending a week in Vancouver and staying at the O Canada House B&B.

Awesome O Canada House

The O Canada house is a wonderful place especially for couples. The Breakfasts are amazing and the owners extremely helpful and accomodating. My favorite was sipping sherry and listening to the beautiful music they filled the living room with while reading through their collection of books and magazines.

Nice place but few amenities

O'Canada house is nice, clean and has great guest rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts are nice too. I guess my only criticism is of the conditions of Vancouver. The b&b did not have air conditioning so we had to sleep with the windows open. (A/C is not only for cooling but to keep outside noise out!) Each morning at 4 o'clock a.m. we were awaken by the sound of homeless people dumpster diving for glass and plastic bottles. We also watched people gather in an adjacent parking lot to do a variety of drugs. Drug enforcement is not Vancouver's strong point. The downtown hotels are equally as nice as the O'Canada house and do offer nicer views of the City and have air conditioning.
