We grabbed some ice cream downtown and sat in the park by the river and watched some paddle boarders and Kayakers go bye. ... the sign said "Road Work - Next 5 Miles". It didn't look too bad at first until you see the "Pavement Ends" sign. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, the gravel was mostly hard packed though the 5 miles was actually more like 6 miles, the really loose gravel didn't appear until the last half mile. After that it was clear sailing and mostly boring, until we turned west onto US-2W towards Glacier National Park.

We arrived today after spending last night at the KOA Rv park in Missoula. Really nice park with wide grassy sites. We'll stay here at the North American RV park at the Western entrance to the park for 4 nights. Unfortunately a lot of the park is closed due to late snow and avalanches. ... right behind the Inn (too close for comfort, if you know what I mean). Can't imagine sleeping and having one of those big trains rumbling along at say 3AM!!! The tracks are no more than 20 feet from the back of the Inn. They actually have several railroad cars that you can sleep in - how cool.
