    ... buzzing and sharing our views of the show. To our surprise, it is teeming down with rain, so, waterproofs donned, we gratefully climb aboard our tram and head home. We have very much enjoyed Cologne, and most importantly, Jonny’s birthday.

    ... Not cool. There were witnesses, including some hot French chick. Walked all the way into Calais. Found hotel I was looking for and it was closed. Must be Sunday!     ... the bus in Canterbury very quickly. I quite like the National Express Bus service, the guy made up some time and we would only be 10 minutes late. We would have to be in the ferry port 45 minutes before departure. We honestly thought we'd made it. 15 minutes later it dawned on us that we'd missed our boat and that we'd been put on the next ferry.     ... a swim in the lake where we used to sail, a visit to the nurseries, all too ambitious, I only managed a visit to the local super market to buy a few delicacies for Adam and Suzanne who were both brought up in Holland. I'll have to come back.

    There are about 44people on contiki. We headed off to Dover, it took 4hours longer than we originally planned. The roads were snowed over and it Chaos on the streets!! Bumper to bumper traffic all the way. This gave us a chance to meet each other. There are majority Australians then Japanese. A few Americans and Canadians.
