Last Tuesday was a great day. Stan and Brenda took their coach to the repair facility to have their mirror replaced. Actually, all they needed was the arm supporting the mirror. To our surprise, the repair only took about an hour, most of which was spent removing the roll of duct tape that had kept the mirror in place! Stan paid his $700 and we were ready to hit the road. The thick cushiony moss made it easy on my barefeet. The water was so clear and cool. Sammy took several drinks..

The first part of the day was riddled with hiccups like getting lost and helping someone figure out how to change a flat, and riding with a few people here and there. I decided to spend the last half of this relatively short day (47 miles) riding by myself into Sewanee. I was so happy I did. The pace was mine to control, and I bounced all over the place from slow to powerful, and I belted earworms the whole time.

What made ...
