We had a great time in Champaign. I got to play pickleball twice and really enjoyed getting back on the court. I do miss playing! Our campground was very nice and the owners are very helpful. The campground is surrounded by cornfields with a small lake in the middle. I did fish one day but caught ZERO:((

We ended up moving on to Champaign, Il since the weather was pretty bad. The campground we were heading to called us twice, saying we have a lot of mud. So we missed an area that had a few things for us to see but Champaign is a nice place and our campground is really nice.

... next town along, Odell, also has a restored gas station. The last stop of the day was made in Pontiac where the Route 66 museum is a great visit. I could have spent hours there but needed to get back on the road before I became too tired to drive. ... delay. Our plane's landing was delayed because of an impending storm. Then, it couldn't pull up to the gate for about an hour because there was lightening. Long story short, our departure was delayed, American Airlines screwed up our connecting information in Chicago, and so we got stuck in The Chi.
