After a thoroughly enjoyable, leisurely lunch we headed back to Kings Beach for an afternoon an the eponymous beach.Whilst walking down to the beach we found a wallet with a phone and several credit cards, drivers licence and various important looking cards etc. This caused great excitement as we decide to try to figure out who owned it and how to contact them.     ... and an open pit gypsum mine. An hour and a half later, Virginia City came into view. Gold and silver discoveries put this town on the map and at its peak in the 1860's, there were 25,000 people living there. We ate lunch at a local barbecue place and enjoyed a leisurely walk down the main street while checking out the stores in this old western town.     ... are unbelievably huge! Lovely to watch but a small tank for such big creatures so a little sad. We were then just in time for the Dolphin show Drench! So grabbed some seats. There were 8 dolphins performing plenty of leaps and jumps and twirls and impressive stunts, alongside their trainers riding them like surfboards and the like.

    We left the park at 1:30, keen to hit the road and fortunately having been on everything a few times before it had gotten busy. So ...

    ... riding. Today, however, I was sweating it out on a small climb when I noticed a small cloud that seem to be following me. I kept an eye on it because this is not normal cloud behavior where I'm from.     ... that a pick up truck that wasn't already loaded down with a ton of camping gear would take pity on me. HaveI said it yet? It has only taken 3 days to lose all shame! I have yet to complete a 60 mile day. A goal that before I left I thought was very reasonable. What looked reasonable on paper has become unattainable on the bike.
