Today, Friday, we had another great drive. We left Austin, Nevada by nine AM and had only about a hundred and fifty miles to travel. We moved lower and lower until now we're at about 4,400 above sea level. It's about seventy degrees here and feels great. Enroute we stopped at Petroglyph Site which was started by the Cattail People. The oldest petroglyph is about 8,000 years on up to 500 years ago. But, who's ...

... from the resort camp store. It was delicious! Before we departed I had to wade in the freezing cold water just to say I did. We decided that we had enough energy to hike another location so off we went to a historic site at Glen Alpine Springs near Lily Lake. ... it was very hard to navigate the map. We would have walked some of the neighborhoods but it was getting hot so we choose to drive the route. Some streets that showed as a through street ended into parking lots. Some streets had random 2-way stop signs, others 4-way. I think it would have been safer if all the streets were 4 way stops.

The Capitol building was impressive; first of all there was no security to go through when entering the building. ...

... riding. Today, however, I was sweating it out on a small climb when I noticed a small cloud that seem to be following me. I kept an eye on it because this is not normal cloud behavior where I'm from. I could tell from the look of it it wasn't from around here and it had no good reason for hanging around and "dogging my tracks". Sure enough while I was taking a taking a scenic picture of Betty it pounced! ...
