Very mixed city....
We arrived in Palermo around 6pm and it was almost dark. We quickly realised that the city is worse than Hillbrow in Johannesburg in certain areas (thanks to a road closure due to a street carnival and the GPS) and a really smart Mediterranean sea-side city only a few blocks away.

We woke up after a brilliant nights sleep and again the sun was shining. Feeling good we all got dressed for some exercise. I ran along another brilliant coastal road, today was the hottest yet. Sweating and flustered I boldly suggested we go straight for a swim. Well I was the bravest and got in up to my thighs, the boys managed their toes and that was it - it was more like an ice bath.
