Summer has come to Gig Harbor and the temperature has shot up into the high 80s. The town bends round a small inlet on the West side of Puget Sound and is a small fishing port with yacht berths and marinas spread round the bay. Mount Rainier looms over the horizon at one end of the bay and though it is 50 miles away it looks a lot closer than that. (see pic below)

Walking through the shopping center (I needed something okay! It's not like all i see are the insides of 'malls'!) I got ambushed by a very gay Israeli ...

I will add a few pictures from last night. The park was operated by the Quileute Indians. Everyone seems to be a native. Almost every car and RV had Washington plates. The berries in the park are green so the season continues. We saw maybe 5 people in 11 days picking. We noticed on this trip that we have about the smallest rig in the campground every night. Today was truly a Drive by. We are out of time so we stop infrequently. It would take days to all of Olympic National Park. ...
