This morning I checked out of the YWCA and pushed the few blocks to the city's central station. I'm glad I had cased the joint yesterday because it masquerades as a car park, with no obvious pedestrian entrance from the surface.
I had half-an-hour to wait in the business lounge before boarding the train. I had been able to break from my generally low-budget approach to this trip ...
... some beautiful hangings from Laos and Burkinafaso adding colour and texture.
We had a leisurely breakfast with Laymy, our host, of homemade bread and jams, cereal and coffee. We then headed off to the old part of Quebec to have a quick stop before leaving for Cornwall, Ontario, our next bnb as the weather is still not good and we don’t fancy camping.

Joanne's sister dropped in for a visit for a little bit - enjoying lunch with us all.
It was a nice relaxing day. We mainly just chilled around the pool and chatted.
I did go for a couple of walks though - once with Frederick and another time with Joanne. Near the end of the visit, I took the kids to a nearby school and played with them on the playground equipment.
All in all, we had a wonderful day... Family is Great!!!
This morning we are saying good bye to Yolande and Steve in Wakefield and we are "on the road" once again. Had a cuppa with. Yoll as she headed off to work and then packed up the car and said our farewells to Steve and the beautiful Gatineau hills.

... The first game we got to watch was the USA vs Belgium which turned out to be the best game of the playoffs, so far. We have really got into the soccer games, they are a lot easier for us to understand than American football.
We took a few more drives into the Adirondack Mountains, we stopped at Nature Centers & went on a few more great hikes!! The Adirondacks are a GREAT place ...
