... is" having not been here since five years ago. The place was again more beautiful than I had remembered. Lovely little shops, restaurants, boutiques, lodges, resorts, and even a casino, all nicely decorated that made this small village look like a picture right out of a fairy book.

... la journée et nous sommes partis au parc du Mont Tremblant pour admirer les couleurs de l'automne. Je ne voulais pas rater ça cette année, car l'année dernière quand j'y suis allée, toutes les feuilles étaient tombées!

Aujourd'hui le ciel était quand même très couvert, mais finalement, on n'a pas eu trop de pluie. Bref, on s'en est bien tirés, et on a passé une bonne journée! Et les couleurs étaient superbes!

We had a wonder around, then went to Charles' sister's bed and breakfast in Mont Tremblant - it was a fantastic place with loads of really nice, vintage furniature and an old piano and a bar from Paris! And we had a very pleasant picnic outside with Charle's family. Twas a lovely excursion all in all!

Okay well let me just tell you that today will be extremly short because not only did we spend 10 HOURS DRIVING, i slept and listened to music through most of it. ... au magasin général à achetons des nourritures et des magasins français. Puis nous avons détendu à la plage prés de l’hôtel, et nous avons fait le canot et kayak. ... and we were greeted with a 'Bienvenue chez vous', how much more friendly can you get?! We loved our days of skiing so much that as we collapsed for a late afternoon nap we'd always promise ourselves to go to night skiing. Realistically, however, our muscles were just too exhausted to do any more so we spent our nights dining on French food with live accordion music or eating sushi in front of the fireplace. Quite a romantic way to spend St. Valentine's day.

... was just to do it. So we did. That's right we did our first Canadian BLACK RUN!!!!! The rest of the day we chose to stick to blue runs and we were getting pretty good by the end of the day and we were absolutely flying down the mountain carving our way down. For the record I only fell over twice once after I stopped (go figure) and the other was getting off the ski lift where my skis got tangled with someone else's skis.

... so after checking into the hotel and enjoying some of that delicious champagne, we were able to enjoy a delicious, late lunch at Jardin Nelson, 407 Place Jacques-Cartier. The restaurant is comprised of several totally outdoor dining areas, with live jazz most days. On Saturday afternoons they have a jazz quartet. The food there was delicious.
