Day 1 of cheap Mekong Delta tour
... br> After lunch and a swap in group members we were rowed along the Mekong River in wooden boats by Vietnamese women. There is definitely no descrimination when it comes to physical labour out here. This is supposably the area in which Acopolypse Now was set but there's just too many people living here now for it to resemble anything like the movie. Still, a beautiful place and journey.

6 Boats in a Heartbeat!
... were brilliant and could not do enough to help us. Our room was much larger than we had expected it to be. It was clean, had its own toilet and a mosquito net.

Mekong musings
... br> We made spring rolls (wrapped some random stuff in rice paper) and toured the floating market in the morning, which was still pretty quiet because of Tet.
Overall the large group tour was not for us, it felt too much like we were being herded like cows (cue heifer jokes Isabel and Helle) and we weren't seeing the real delta. Back to some independent exploring ...
The heart of the Delta
This was a rather disappointing stage in the delta, not gonna lie. We got told that we were going to go see a floating market and then go on to see a rice factory, all of which sounded pretty interesting.
We also had an option to do a homestay here aswell, which i was really excited about!
