    It was miserable! Pouring down with rain and drizzling intermittently. So I grabbed my PAC-a-mac, which I had thought wouldn't be necessary for the trip (and extra tops that I will probably never wear for the entirety of this trip took priority over the packing of my proper raincoat) and figured that I'd set off for Newport anyway.
