      ... American gps lady, didn't take us by the most direct route and took us through the back roads but it gave us an opportunity to see Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire that you just don't see see from a highway. There is still a lot of snow in the countryside completely surrounding the houses and on the roofs. Just like in the postcards.       ... off the mountain! Now this requires a little bit of a back story. When you reach the age of 90 and you go skiing, there are a few perks -- one of them is you get to ski for free. With our program, one morning-only lift ticket is included, so we basically ski from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and you can upgrade your ticket to a full-day ticket for $15 per day.       ... to get to the mountain before the morning crowd. To our surprise, the chair lifts didn't start operating until 9:00 a.m., but no matter -- we sat by the fire pit they have at the base of the mountain and patiently waited. We didn't end up getting on the first chair up the mountain, but we settled for the third.

      ... quality time together doing something we both love and enjoy, we get to do it with a great group of individuals who also share our passion.

      Now, it doesn't stop with skiing on the mountain. Just today, we have gone skiing for about four hours, hit the weights in the gym, enjoyed the outdoor pool, and took a breather in the sauna (all of which are on the grounds of the Bethel Inn).

      ... the mountain we noticed our neighbors sitting on their front porch – they had lent us a lobster pot last year – we backed up to their driveway (no worries about traffic on our street) and drove up to quickly say "hi" – we were curious about their first full time winter at their home and how that went – come to find out, they took a weekend at Disneyworld in Orlando for a break. More stories to come ...
