... is a very quaint little community and was once famous for it's cheese factory. Had lunch at the Dairy Shed which has lots of memorabilia from the factory and now serves a delicious lunch menu and is fully licenced. There is a fantastic local craft shop here as well - hand made jewellry, leather goods, silk scarves and it is well worth a visit. It is called Jenny Rose and the husband does iron forged furniture also ...

We carried on south for another week stopping every two hours to cool off the engine and replenish the cooling fluid.  We took it in to our 5th mechanic this week in Bendalong and he found the water pump to be leaking and replaced it.  We hope that this was the cause of the problems all along and that Joey will carry us through our remaining six weeks in Australia.  On Monday we continue south and then west along the coast heading towards Melbourne and beyond. ... for me to respond, but trust me, your patience wares pretty thin when you're sweating in 44 degree heat and almost 100 percent humidity. Just standing still the sweat was dripping off the end of my nose. But we made friends again when we had a lovely feed at an amazing little, cheap chinese place where we filled our tierd tums! That night it was so hot in the room at the YHA, poor Neil had to sleep with a cold towell on him! I kept cool by laying up against the cold ...

... all the hang gliders soaring off the cliff next to us. We continued through Royal National Park, rejoining Princes Highway to run into Sydney under the main airport runway and over Sydney Harbour Bridge arriving in Manly about 6:30. The next day Monday 26th was Australia Day with lots of activities all over the country, but we were all very tired and it was dull and overcast so we had a "couch day" watching Murray being beaten by Tsonga at Melbourne.

... Yeah, basically couldn't see anything. Water was chilly too. But it was still a lot of fun. On the drive back we got stuck in a cattle drive on the highway. a mile of cows, one guy, one horse, and one dog. It was interesting. And there was someone driving a truck leading five or six horses running along with. Not sure if they were related to Mr. Cattle Driver or no.

... van when the doors are open, otherwise you get big, huge hideous bugs in your van. They were horrible. About the size of a ten pence piece, big flying beetle type bugs. Horrible. Not only were they in our van but they were also all in the toilet and shower block. Yuk Yuk! That's one thing I'm not to happy about really, the amount of deadly insects and stuff they have in Oz. I keep checking under the toilet seat and in the shower because I really do not want to run into one.

... in the art of massage was very willing to practice, and I was always willing ot be her guinea pig. I think without her I would not have been ever present for the surf classes, 2 a day, 2 hours each. A lot of people missed classes through hang overs, injuries and tiredness, and I bet they are not in as much pain as I am now, (Ok I'm exaggerating a bit, but it was tough out there). The Set-up was pretty cool, there was a group of 35 and we had a camp site, 2 ...

Dolphins were spotted a few times fairly shallow and the surf was a nice comfortable size for getting battered in without sustaining life-threatening injuries. ... temperature was somewhere in the low 30s. Apparently Sydney yesterday reached 42C and it didn't drop below 30C throughout the night. We were all sad to leave Shabby Shacks, Jim and Shar driving back to Sydney, Rene and I heading south to Eden. This was our kind of place, great deserted beaches, clean clear sea, wonderful wildlife and great company, made for a fantastic few days and one of teh highlights of our trip.
