Day 55. Sunday 19

Arrived in Hannibal to visit with the ghosts of Tom Saywer and Huckleberry Finn. This is the town where Samuel Clemens better known to many of us as Mark Twain grew up. A mark is a fathom and twain is two. He was a riverboat pilot and Mark Twain means 2 fathoms. It is a lovely town on the Mississippi River. This river keeps popping up and so it should as it is huge and lengthy. Linton keeps wanting ...

... which is our minimum goal each day so we're very p,eased with our progress. Tomorrow we plan to leave VERY early so we'll be able to get out and do some site seeing.

Tomorrow we should hit Oklahoma, Texas and land in Arizona... At least that's the plan! Lol! I'll post more as we go although I don't know that I'll be able to on a daily basis but I plan to at least once or twice a week!

... to let him know we were close. His response: "Good luck finding it." We got to the foot of his driveway and not sure if it was it we had to admit defeat. I called him and he let us know that we had it right and to drive down this long gravel driveway.

... and I honestly get frustrated at my own abilities to endure such obstacles. That is usually the moment when I have reluctantly learned to hope for help and then simply ask for it. ... I hate wearing it. I will take a soaking right down to my gaunchies rather than put it on. Usually when I am soaked right down to my gaunchies I am regretting not putting on my rain suit though!
