... and to lucky visitors like us! We headed off road to climb up to Lookout Point and then headed cross country (complete with back pack) to see the tallest free standing totem pole in Canada. Over the road and down to the beach for a walk to Clover Point. The beach was a hive of activity with a mix of cyclists, dog owners and kite surfers. The water is a year round consistent 10 degrees. No sandy beach here, just a slippery mass of pebbles all shapes ...

... the last 1/2 hour video of the Tracey Arm cruise from yesterday, it was good to see the video shot by the professionals.
At 1245 I went to the theatre for a talk by the Second Officer on Navigation, from the Bridge perspective, he was very good explaining everything about the ship, engines, running of the ship, generation, food, hospitality, etc, etc, a lot to take in, but very interesting.

Hopped off at Craigdarroch Castle set high above the city of Victoria, Excellent and you fellas would love all the woodwork in it. Just have to be a coal baron a few years back to get something like this.

Sorry I couldn't post the next 2 posts on the day we had no wifi in Telegraph Cove. :( Today we drove from Victoria to Telegraph Cove. I was about a 6 hours drive without stops. We are staying in a bright yellow cabin/house thing. It is very cute but quite run down. Tomorrow we are going on a bear tour and we have to be up at 6pm so we are having a very early night ...

... pouring rain at the Butchart Gardens. They hand out clear umbrellas so nothing stops the collection of the tickets. (When Jeff and I were in France and saw Monet's garden, Giverny, it was raining just like today....buckets.) So I took some pictures with my iPhone but stopped after a while because the beauty of flowers just doesn't come through with the grey skies ...
