... pueblo was two stories high in some parts and there were 87 ground floor rooms. There were few exterior doors or windows. Most homes were entered by ladders through roof openings. ... a pleasant mostly shady hike 3.2 miles in to a dead end at a rock wall face. At the very beginning, a hippy old hiker handed me a gift of a heart shaped red rock. ... on the internet so went there and had one of their beers, mine was apparently mixed with apple, it did kind of taste of cider - then we got talking to a young guy who was there filming a documentary about Native American biker gangs. ... even with high cross winds. Fuel consumption has been pretty decent considering the hilly terrain and fighting the cross winds.
Fuel prices have been between $3.25 - $3.45 but we expect that to change once we get to California.

We will stay a couple days here in Camp Verde to take in some of the sites.
Hopefully we'll have something to post about tomorrow.

We traveled today. We bid our home of a 6 days goodbye, packed up the motor home, and headed north. Northwest actually.

We drove through Tucson and then on to Phoenix. Tucson has about half a million people, and Phoenix had 1.5 million.
