Tuesday, May 21 – Headed south on 89A towards Cottonwood. Along the way we passed Red Rocks State Park and the beautiful views. Today it is hot in the high 90's and we are dragging a little. We have gone from the high 30’s to the high 90’s in less than a week.

After lunch we took a scenic drive around the “Red Rock Loop”, several miles of mountain road with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Our next destination was the city of Jerome, this was a mining town incorporated in 1899, and was a thriving town until the mine closed in 1953. ...
