... Historic rain forest. We crossed a wooden walkway that allowed us to walk near to the large tree tops and gaze upon the legendary Kauri tree's. We then drove around the corner to Whangarei falls which was glistening in the sun, for such a tourist place it was peaceful and calm.

Nach dem Markt schlenderten wir durch das Kunstviertel der Stadt und besichtigten eine Fudge Farm. So verbrachten wir zwei sehr schoene und abwechselungsreiche Tage in Whangarei.

... den üblichen Proviantbesorgungen Tanken, Postkarten kaufen und Geld abheben (wobei man eigenartigerweise nie mehr als 500 NZD auf einmal bekommt, das sind etwa 285 Euro nach aktuellem Kurs) fahren wir zurück und ruhen uns aus - ich mit einem kühlen Bier (Mac's Hop Rocker aus Auckland, sehr gutes Bier, überhaupt die ganze Mac's Serie) und Nicole mit einem kleinen Schläfchen.

If you look on the map he’s got in the office, it’s the top one that’s on its own. ... really knowing what the cruise exactly was) and ran to the boat. We also made plans to just book our dives when we got back since the boat was pretty much ready to take off.

Having so few passengers was also a great thing as there were only now 7 passengers and 3 great crew members, who pretty much had the day off and got to have some fun themselves. It was cool to go on a trip where it felt you were all just hanging out for the day!
