Whew, we are back and still getting over the jet lag.
I am going to up date the images included in this blog now and add some more explanations to the images we took an I have uploaded.
Issues with the internet speed on the ship and thw time it took to upload and edit just a few images was terrible.

I've been home for a few days now, and seem to be settling back in pretty easily. The last couple of days of the trip were a real whirlwind. In order to get back to the village from Azerbaijan I took a taxi to the bus station in Seki, a marshrutka to Zaqatala, another marshrutka to Balakan, a taxi to the border, walked across the border, took a taxi into Lagodekhi, hopped on a marshrutka to the village, then walked 20 minutes back to the house! Guiness To Go
... to ride the roller coaster. This happened to be the biggest roller coaster in the park. Tell me who lets a guy without two legs and part of one hip missing on a roller coaster. How was he meant to stay in the car? Well he didn't unfortunately. Also very unfortunate that his family witnessed this. Think the amusement park will have some explaining to do. Can you image the horror of being next to the chap or more upsetting the chap himself?

Leaving on a jet plane...
... just go on a vacation, which I have pretty much got down pat these days. But there are just so many more things to consider when you're leaving for 5 months (toiletries, multiple seasons etc). Its funny I almost think if I was going for a whole year I would actually be taking less stuff with me just because it makes more sense to purchase certain things once you're living in your new spot! We'll just have to see how it all works out.

Es ist schön wenn man Pläne hat und es noch schöner wenn diese sogar in Erfüllung gehen, wie diese komplette Reise zum Beispiel. Dennoch, nichts ist so beständig wie die Lageänderung (um mal einen kleinen Wink in Richtung Y-Tours zu geben). Aufgrund einer offensichtlichen Fehlfunktion beim "Wecker", krähte dieser nicht erst ab 7 oder 8 sondern schon halb 5. Der verzweifelte Versuch wieder einzuschlafen sollte erst knappe 2,5 Stunden später von Erfolg gekrönt werden, womit meine innere Uhr ...
