The weather today dropped. A lot! It ended up being around fifteen by the time the sun set and we were all freezing. (What is this? I thought I'd escaped Australian winter! Although I've heard it's a lot colder than 15 at the moment!)
We opted for the cafe overlooking the skate-rink, and Nick kindly shouted us hot chocolates. We enjoyed our hot drinks and watched the skaters go around (and fall over!)
Mom's tear ducts in good working order when I left at 1330 from Hamilton. Had to brush off a couple of inches of snow.
The trip to the airport was uneventful, traffic being rather light. Got to the Park 'n Fly c 1435. By the time I got to booth A14, it was 1442. After 25M of not even seeing a van, I called to express my ...
... snow all over our faces. We then realised that it was cold. Burning cold. So we headed to the university and its hot buildings. We poured all the snow out of our clothing, waited until we had feeling back in our hands and faces, then it was back outside to play and admire some more.
It was FUN, but by 11.30, we reaised we do actually need to study. Argh. 7 more days and exams are over.... then off to ...
... to play full contact sport here, and we are both way too small at the moment. However... double padding and big helmets may help to disguise these facts. This is a sport we would both be good at. Jason with his strategies, Amy with her head up tackles. Both of us can throw, catch, sprint and jump... a few training sessions and we could probably do 3 backflips whilst being tackled, as one lad did during the game.
