    GETTING THE WORST OF THE TRIP OVER FIRST

    Nobody likes overnight flights and with an early arrival into LHR with two flights to follow, there will be lots of teeth gnashing to start.

    Left the folks and Tabu behind c 1410 for an uneventful trip to Toronto Pearson airport. Surprised the Park 'n Fly Self Park lot was quite full; service continues to slip but inside Terminal 1 around 1545.

    Already had my boarding pass [via the web yesterday] but probably should ...

    ... her at the meeting place... getting 'stuff' out of car.. a squeal.. panic..
    Her treasured paint box is still at the hotel.. why did I not bring it.. Me???


    Jump back in car and drive back to hotel to retrieve said paintbox... The things we do...

    Arriving back at the hotel I found the final proof...
    Searching for the paints I found it.. all neat and tidy being guarded by Ruth's knitted chook... my prize for cluckers.

    ... to go through security. When last here on Jan 23rd, it was pretty much walk right up to a security area but that was early morning. The switchbacks took over 20M; the security bit, but seconds.

    By the time of the long walk to the boarding area it was 1641 and my flight was at 1715. Been a long time since things were cut so ...

    ... snow all over our faces. We then realised that it was cold. Burning cold. So we headed to the university and its hot buildings. We poured all the snow out of our clothing, waited until we had feeling back in our hands and faces, then it was back outside to play and admire some more.
    It was FUN, but by 11.30, we reaised we do actually need to study. Argh. 7 more days and exams are over.... then off to ...

    ... to a Helper there and she suggested someone but they don't work there anymore then the lady from the convenience store spoke to the Director of the Homes and he didn't know of anyone. As it was 11am we took the laptop to Y2K Computers for them to try and retrieve as much as they could. While we were doing this Ben Prince was trying to contact us but we weren't in the unit plus at one stage Marg had the phone off the hook. Silly me should have given him ...
