... rather hungry and decided to order the pork hock. OMG! it was bigger than my head.. Shan had a much more civilised size meal so helped me finish mine.. the food was amazing and the service was great too seeing as we were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant! We experienced our first flurries snowfall on the walk home which was great, left us wondering what Stevens Pass was going bring for us the next day but it ended up being nothing. ...

Pretzels, Sauekraut and Sausage

We left the beautiful cabin in Pine Forest on New Years day and headed home via the quirky little Bavarian themed town - Leavenworth. To escape the FREEZING cold we found refuge in a Bavarian café for lunch to enjoy warm cider, schnitzel, sausage and sauerkraut. Delicious!

A quick stop to purchase a Pork Knuckle and some chocolate coated pretzels and then back on the road - Seattle bound.

And I've been here since. Prime Rib Thanksgiving with the Ottley family and ...

Toasty Eastern Washington

A travel blog entry by beemerdave

... Bank had to change their logo on the signage to conform to the local ordinances. Tons of bars, shops, restaurants, hotels, and wine tasting rooms make it a mecca for tourists and visitors who love the German cooking and beers. We did our share of sampling the authentic German cuisine and Washington wines.
The towering peaks that surround the town make you feel just like you are in the Alps if only for the day!
