... the new crowd embark tomorrow. There was much grumbling about the lack of choice and poor quality. What will tomorrow be like? The ship was deserted this morning, but started to fill up again as people returned from exploratory trips, perhaps including going to find their hotels in advance of tomorrow, as I did. ... it all day, the view seemed to be "we've been here before, but we are down to our last pitchers, we don't stand a chance". I guess that just added to the thrill when they won because the celebrations in the streets were high and the horn tooting and yelling went on for hours. There was lots of high fiving in the street ... it was a great atmosphere. We had a late dinner at a cool diner right by our hotel and then headed back to crash. Anyway it was back to civilisation, the mainland for a burger at Hard Rock Cafe and a 5 km walk back to Lefty's for some refreshments and fluid retention before we head out on our last night in Frisco.

Dinner was back at the Italian rest called La Ottavo vii another winner so full as a goog we headed home for a coffee and a cupcake before lights out and we're out of here

... after a 50 min wait we managed to board the next one. From the ferry we were treated to lovely views of the bridge, Alcatraz and the city skyline making the ferry ride a tourist attraction in itself. Docking at Pier 41 we disembarked with our bikes and cycled along the boulevard past the gaudy Fishermans Wharf, a total tourist trap where we'd no doubt end up at a later date, and on to Ghirardelli Square.
