Midnight in San Francisco. It's going to be a really long flight to Bangkok. 14 hours to Taiwan and then 3 more hours to Bangkok. Never ever have flown on Chinese Air and never been to Asia before. So excited.
Overnight flight with short stop at Taipei Taiwan wasn't this bad. Some wine and few movies made the flight bearable.
Taipei airport is quite modern and impressive.
Another 3 hours flight and finally we landed in Bangkok.
... see both the Golden Gate and Alcatraz from the table where we sat for our second dinner, so all is good. We even passed a ‘Ripley’s Belief or Not Museum’ on the stroll back, so we now know that this must be a proper city.
Tomorrow we will take a day to explore San Francisco and drop off the bikes. There will, I hope be time for one last hurrah as we take them over the Golden Gate Bridge for the last photo-op of the tour.
