... phone coverage after a 30 minute white knuckle drive. Our plan was to stay in Vermont though our iMap advised us that this involved a ferry crossing...the other option was a 6 hour trip that we were not up to.
There were no ferries running at this time so we stayed in the port town in the first hotel we passed that had a vacancy sign and we rolled into bed.

The bridge connects the NY and VT sides of Lake Champlain and Crown Point Fort ruins, museum, state park and Champlain Lighthouse are on the end of the NY side of this new bridge. We rode our bikes from the Champlain Bridge Marina which is located on the VT side and did a self guided tour. Everything is fairly quiet here so we enjoyed the freedom to move from place to place. ...
