... back since it is a long drive into the Park. On the way out, we passed a turnout that said "Wildlife Viewing Area" which we had stopped in on the way in to switch drivers. We didn't see any wildlife then; however, on the way back, there was a small heard of Elk. My brother would have loved to see them, but "no shooting" in National Parks.
... we still soaked in hanging glaciers, rugged lower peaks, a couple of marmots, some lingering snowfields and lots emerging wildflowers. Both boys were truly elated the entire hike, confirming that the timing of our trip in their lives is at least OK! It was a magical day. We are off to Canada tomorrow- yea! ... always imagined it. This beauty can only be experienced in person – in this case, a picture can’t say a thousand words. I am taking a few hikes here and enjoying mother nature's best.
At the end of the day, I stop by the "Cascadian Farm" for some yummy snack before heading out to my next destination.
So, come out and play in our very own backyard when you have a chance!! This is too good to let it pass ...
