We used to come to Langebaan in the early 80's when I was in the Air Force. If you blinked you missed the town. There used to be a boat on the lagoon called the Big Bunny... I think. Friday night parties on the Big Bunny was hectic. 30 Air Force guys and 3 waitresses... Langebaan is a completely different town now. It reminds me a bit of what happened to Hermanus.... lost its flair through over ...

... better. Turns out, this is also a great way to make friends, and I ended up joining one of the guys for pool and the night went from there. The night is a bit of a blur, I felt like I met \ drank half of the bar, but was eventually reminded by Siebert about our diving expedition that was planned for the next morning. Knowing full well the terrible hangover I was going to get the next day, we walked home and crashed on the bed.

I photograph boats and then we decide to change the direction to Paternoster. I am so glad we did – this is a little jewel on the west coast peninsula. What a wonderful night we had in the fabulous guest house. Janet left the window open and it was just perfect sleeping with the sound of the waves breaking on the beach. It was admittedly however, just a tad cold as I noticed when I went to the loo and realised I was having trouble with my aim due to the freezing induced shivers I was having :).
