... of the battlefield as well but the kids were losing steam after a couple of hours. We ended with a visit to the military cemetery on our way out of Gettysburg. This was where Abraham Lincoln made his famous Gettysburg Address. It was a sobering experience for all of us to visit this cemetery. The kids were full of questions.

Today we were in search of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal which runs along the Potomac River from the mouth of Rock Creek at Georgetown in Washington, to Cumberland, Maryland. ... entire trip there, but we wanted more variety. So Southeast Asia it was; we've both been there before but there are many areas (Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam) that neither one of us have seen -- and even for the countries we have been, we'll have the time to explore the road less traveled.
