... smashed against the rocks) so I just sit in the refreshing coolness and relax for a bit, letting the water carry all my weariness away. I gingerly walk across the river and back--just to see if I can do it... Get out of the water... then back in again... out... back in again... Finally I reluctantly head on my way.
I continue on my way, finally reaching Brunswick at dusk. This looks like an intriguing town--but I'm going to save exploring it for another day.

... event being held and there were many veterans who fought in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. It made our visit here extra special. Olivia struck up a conversation with a World War II veteran from the U.S. air force. His name was Howard Dixon. He was an aircraft engineer on the B-29 bomber. It was an honour for us to meet him. We are so grateful for the sacrifices Howard and so many others made for us so we can enjoy freedom today.

... for the customers coming to the park. The buildings appeared to be in Art Deco style and were relatively well preserved. I think it was an interesting style of building and probably made the park very popular in the early 20th century. There was a nice wooded area with a flowing creek which was the Minnehaha Creek, probably an Indian name. After investigating Glen Echo Park we returned to the road going Northwest we did not have a map to help us.
