... was in order. Big day. Woke to a fine but cooler morning. Sightseeing on the agenda today. Our first stop was FDR's house at Hyde Park. We saw a short film & then took a tour of the house. ... was only 5.30pm so we'd be fine. And we were but I wouldn't do it again. Once we'd checked into the hotel, we walked 2 blocks up the road to get some takeaway for dinner & that didn't feel great either. Very deserted even though an enormous government building was across the road from the restaurant. On the upside, the hotel room was great, big with twin double beds, free wi fi & breakfast included.
