... it was an excellent wedding.

The Gibbs clan decided to head into Whitby to see what was going on......some of the Goths were already there but there were also a lot of "normal" people wandering around. Once we crossed over the bridge to the other side of the quay, there were a lot of the more outlandishly dressed Goths drinking at the boozers or making the pilgrimage to the Abbey above the town. Set off northwards. Reached the Humber Bridge and had a picnic lunch sitting out overlooking the bridge and the river. Then went to Bempton Cliffs. Supposedly millions of nesting birds but wrong time of year! There were almost no birds when we parked and walked ...

    North York Moors Visitor Centre

A travel blog entry by ryan.kaiser on Oct 03, 2014

Isabella loved the little fake fairy houses and bird watching walk. I had a go on the spiny tyre standing up after William was sitting down on it, I fell off and landed face first, it ...

But we didn't find anything in that part of the bay either. We looked in rock pools and found hermit crabs. Then I built a sandcastle with Isabella, who is only 3. Then mum went to Sainsburys, which is a supermarket, whilst I finished nano virus on plague ...

    Grouse hunting

A travel blog entry by ryan.kaiser on Sep 30, 2014

Today we went on a 5 hour walk from where we are staying up onto the top of the moors. There were lots of grouse and we were hunting them with rocks, but we didn't get any, we just found feathers. There were lots of stone butts where the actual hunters hide when they are shooting the grouse.mum thought the view was better than the finest view in ...
