... as I finished this up we were deafened by the fire alarm going off. We looked outside and some homeless dude decided it would be a good idea to set the alarm off as he apparently imagined some smoke coming out of the building! We had to wait for the fire engine to get here and was kept amused by the owner and the homeless dude having an argument in the street, shortly followed by the huge fire truck pulling up and a fireman added to the argument. Great night time entertainment!

Getting to Seattle, we experienced our first mammoth bus ride. We got on the bus at 21.10 in Vernon, BC on the 30th July and arrived in Seattle at about 11.15 on the 31st. We had an hour stop in Kelowna and had to change bus in Vancouver but we still had about 12 hours ...

Then we dropped back to the hotel to drop the spare shoes off and get to the walk-tour rendezvous.

The walk down showed us a whole lot of restaurant options and other attractions that we almost saw last night but didn’t go that far. Out the front of the Seattle Art Museum there is a massive outline of a man hammering and this was where we me Ed, our guide. We then met our fellow walk-tour buddies Molly ...

... That night was the first night that we needed to use our heater. It was about 22 degrees outside, so finding an outlet somewhere to plug up to was necessary! We ate at Denny's and found a hookup outside a Super 8...ran the cable right into the van...and slept peacefully for
5 hours before someone so kindly unplugged us and returned the cable to the outside of the van. That was our, "It's time to get going" que, ...
