... on the bus Tuesday evening, I found one of the tires 10 pounds low. Not good. I decided to stop back in Sparks on Wednesday to have it checked out. Sure enough, the valve stem had come loose and was leaking. Easy fix, and mucho peace-of-mind.

... starts to go over 6000 ft. above sea level. Which brings me to tomorrow, I get to tackle Mt. Lassen pass 8,500+ ft.. I have done this portion of my ride before, but that was back when I thought it was ******* my 14.5 lbs. Cervelo road bike. Tomorrow I get to wrangle Betty and gear up the mountain. I started my day off with a soft bed, thank you Bob and "Miss" Kathy Bense! Breakfast was scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and coffee, and then early morning cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe, again thanks to my wonderful "Trail Angels".
