... deserted, containing the town hall and the church which yet again it has buildings butting up to it so you can only see the actual entrance. There were several interesting buildings including one of the remaining city gates looking totally different from both sides.

We had an interesting talk with the harbour master about winter storage and lifting out etc. and the big benefits if you become a member. We are interested! Next door there is a commercial ...

... called Delerium, think I know why after seeing Logan leave there after only a few beers. Apart from the amazing Square and stocked pub, we will remember Brussels for charging us for everything! We had to pay for a map of the place!! And every toilet (even in fast food places) charged you to use it! I think this officially means we are getting old (as if we didn't already know it).
Back to Antwerp via train and tram for the night.

... damn and blast, we missed it.

The next free for Eurail passes train was another 4 hours away - getting us to Brussels at 9.35pm. We'd still have to get to the hotel. However there were two Thalys trains - one at 16.43. Because we'd missed our connection, we were given a 'claim form' and told we could claim our fare on the Thalys train. So on the Thalys train we got - along with a lot of other extra passengers! We were lucky - we got two of those ...
