So we did, and the hotel could accommodate us for Sunday night. Mac and Josie were very glad to be leaving early – they are a bit homesick and really missing their friends and our pets.

Mark had found front row seats through Stub Hub, right down the third base line. Our first clue that things might be different was that they had taken down all the batting practice screens. No BP baseballs today. Groups of kids were walking the field and no players were to be seen.

By 5:00 or so, Mark and the kids were back in the pool, while Cheryl relaxed, reading "The Aviator’s Wife." Good read, she’s almost finished.
