Carolyn and I had many opportunities to be off on our own adventures,
which is what we had hope to do on our other VBT tours, but didn't work out.
We really lucked out on the weather, as the only rain we had was this morning.
The temperature all week remained in the high 60's which was ideal for a
comfortable day on our bikes.

... The walk to center city was only twenty minutes, not as bad as the streets were crowded with both people and shops. The room at the Altstadt in Passau was sparse. In Weissenkirchen, the Kirchenwirt Hotel was fine, but small. We were located in an annex building as the hotel we were originally scheduled to stay in, the Raffelsbergerhof was sold out.
