to jump into the ocean. The challenge was met. Linda who lives in Portland,
Oregon had never been to the East coast, so this was her first chance to touch

A $37 toll to cross bridge! Another $13 toll on top of that one,on some other bridge. Forgot to mention it ...

... lab spaces, shared between about 25 people. Pretty well stocked with all the things you might need to science to your heart's content. I got some pipettes and did my first experiment - checking that they pipetted the right amount - they did.

The rest of the week was spent actually, really, not lying, doing work. It's a pretty popular field, so there's a fair bit to learn. Fortunately, the other's in the lab are ridiculously on-to-it, ...

All Good Things Must Come To An End

... there when we needed him. While he hailed a taxi, Carolyn ran into a bakery to purchase a few pastries for us to eat while we waited at the airport. She just couldn't resist. Our favorite was a pastry topped with sliced apples and cinnamon. As we sat in the Admirals Club waiting for our plane to board we devoured our French pastries, for one last taste of Paris.
Flying time was estimated to be 8 hours and 13 minutes which should put us in a little before a few ...
