An hour or so after our Ogunquit walk, we pull off the highway to Portland, Maine. We don't really stay long, just head down to the harbour for a picnic lunch on the grass. Brendan has all kinds of picnic foods in the trailer; there is fruit, cookies, crackers, cheeses, meats, ...
... and the old parts of town. The city is in great shape, packed with bars and restaurants. The micro-brew scene here is as good as its western namesake in Oregon.
Must be something about the name, as despite being on opposite sides of the country the Portland's are very similar. Both have a very hip vibe and we managed to catch the movie "Boyhood" in a quaint old cinema. The session was packed despite the movie being on the arthouse side and being released ...
On the road again Wednesday morning and headed towards Maine. We arrived at a campground located right on Flaunder's Bay near Ellsworth, Maine on Wednesday afternoon and stayed 2 nights.
