... riding with the school! So much fun. Haven't been horse riding for ages so it was almost like starting from stratch. I can actually trot too. The lady said I could trot better than the kids which was a fantastic complement considering the kids thought they were faannnnntastic at horse riding saying they could do this and that. ... the sides covered with deciduous trees which I would be walking through to begin with today.The first 4 miles walking followed the line of the river along the Exe Valley Way alternating between open pasture, some still covered in frost and covered walkways through the trees which gave me a soft underfoot covering of last years beech and oak leaves. Changeover Day 3
... we were on our way after treading the turfs back in to the ground. The time was 11.30 am so we had plenty of time to drive to our new campsite. The journey was good. We travelled up the A30 skirting the edge of Dartmoor and found ourselves on the M5 at Exeter in no time. For this adventure our flirtation with the A30 had ended. ... The road curled round the hill in between the hedgerows, the farmers plough lines in the adjacent field following the same lines, as if synchronised.
