Drove back, bought boots for multiple people. Returned car. Went for lunch in a very cute little deli. Checked in, walked to Barton Springs....had swim- didn't see any salamanders swimming with me. Walked home, Kasai took me to dinner at posh Mexican place...drinks at 24 hour coffee shop with singer!! Newcastle/London needs more 24 hour coffee/wine/beer bars...Austin is cool. ... restaurant as the night before (yay!), then once the rain subsided we headed back to the car and to camp. Stormy night of thunder and lightning but that's part of the $32 package deal for the campsite. Notably, the state of Texas is apparently in a 5+ year drought, but you wouldn't know it by the amount of rain we seemingly have brought with us from Atlanta.

... the beer is poured from a tap on the front. A contraption worthy of Davinci himself.. And a good start to what would be an epic 10 days! The phrase "landed on my feet" doesn't cut it..
