... Of a day at the beach.

Heading north again we took the scenic Route 1, a convoluted road hugging the cliffs along the coast. It was spectacular, as promised and we ended up in Carmel-By-The-Sea and Monterey where the rich people play golf at Pebble Beach. Money may not buy happiness but it certainly buys beauty.

Next, we took part in a scavenger hunt in which we learned more interesting things about the campground and the animals. One question had our team stumped: "Where is the herd of elephants?" ... changed & went to dinner. Because the resort hate Mcdougall weekends regularly there's a Mcdougall section of the menu, so nice to have multiple options. Had a glass of local Pinot noir with my meal. Tonight chose a tofu spinach lasagne and cos lettuce salad with a peanut dressing, finished with a platter of fresh fruit. ... was Healdsburg, which was such a cute small town with a town square and everything. It was surrounded by hills so it was isolated but so neat. The pond in the park of the square was also used as a location in the horror film, Scream. So seeing things like this is so cool and since I love this film, it made me love it even more now.
