... again after what feels like weeks of hibernation. I’m not sure how we ever coped in the UK looking back, the winter here feels like its lasted about eight weeks max, back home it felt like it lasted eight months!

Now may also be a good time to talk finances for anyone considering the cost of traveling Australia. I keep a casual running total and looking ahead I think we will have spent roughly $12000 in 500 days on the road. That could ...

... a house as they’re in a horrible youth hostel with no heating and I need an address before I can set up a phone now I’m over here (they have all already sorted theirs…I’m far too unorganised). Also the cost of living is much more expensive over here but it seems as though they get paid a lot more to make up for it so we’re going to search for jobs as soon as we have housing sorted.

... Class for the long leg (Heathrow to Singapore) and a few entertaining movies. He is very tired and very sore, but relieved to be home.

We were met at Adelaide airport by our dear friend and house/furrkid sitter par excellence, Ann.
Annie was very excited and happy to see us, whilst Nuszka did the usual cat thing and ignored us at first. They now both seem to have forgiven us for our prolonged absence.

Rabbits are illegal in Queensland but not NSW. Taking one over the state border can incur a $40,000 fine.

It is illegal to cuddle a koala in NSW but it is legal in Queensland.

So there you go, that is the education that you get from spending 6 months driving around Australia; now throw a shrimp on the barbie and put Neighbours on.
