... and had a look around. There were skeletons of whales, dolphins and sharks by the entrance. We then headed off into the Aborigine part, where there was lots of their tools, boats and weapons. There was then some of their art, which wasn't that old (2007) and wasn't great. We went up a floor and there were more Aborigine things, mostly boomerangs this time, they were quite cool.

Moved up another floor and there were Ediacaran Fossils, then ...

... You took a lift to the top and descended on a suspended walk-way, taking in the views of the tropical flowers, waterfalls, spray-mist and the skyline through the glass dome. Hope you like the pics. Today after a lazy breakfast we loaded up Ian's truck and Jude, Kate, Matt and I drove off to Middleton Bay to find some surf. Great beach and good fun in a warm sea, then back for dinner. This will be our last entry for a few days as we are off to Kangeroo ...

... and the fact I slept through most of the days, I was bummed to be leaving. The train is cool.

We got a cab into town and found our hotel without any trouble. We were only a few blocks away off North Terrace from the hotel we stayed at the last time we were here, so it was nice to have our bearings already. It was a good thing too, because we had several hours to kill before our room was ready and we needed to find something to do. We dropped off our bags and went in ...

... the next morning. We were in bed by 9:30 Thursday night, ready for a 6am drive to the airport the next morning.

B dropped G off for her early morning flight, before driving to uni (on the other side of town, of course!) and sitting a mid-semester exam. From uni, it was straight home, ready to catch a taxi to the airport for a midday flight. B was slightly embarrassed to have to ask someone what number to call for a taxi in Victoria!
