... we passed on our way back to the apartment. Of course the Pentagon looks pretty ordinary from the ground and you really need to see it from the air to see the shape. After lunch we ventured back into the Mall on the bikes to visit the American Indians museum. Following breakfast, we rolled out of Washington DC and headed towards Amish country AND it's starting to snow for the first time! It is great to have company while we drive along, to share experiences, create new memories, all the while becoming more of a global citizen.

The same with all those members of the 27 club. Would people still be so impressed with Jimi Hendrix or Kurt Cobain if things went down differently. Would Bruce Lee have jsut become a characterchore of himself like anyone in the Expendables. Who's to know. Last stop before the hostel was the old post ...

... the White House. Dinner at Georgia Brown's, upscale low country southern cooking- Yummy. After diner we took a walk to see the White House, sit on a park bench in Lafayette Park, and people watch. Fun to watch people get excited, and take pictures of squirrels in the park.

Back at the hotel, I had to park the scooter in the hotel parking lot, so T waited outside. As she was waiting the President's motorcade drove past the hotel, and that how T saw Obama.
