Donna and I loaded up the puppies, Button the male Pekingese and Mandy the female Pekingese. ... on our way to Dallas now, it's so weird the sun sets at like 5pm here. When we got into Dallas there was an optional available but I didn't want to do it because it was a haunted house, so a few of us went to find pizza Jack has recommended it was 30 inches! But unfortunately they were closed and we didn't realise we were in the ghetto! It was pretty scary, but we found this nice cafe and made it safely back to the hotel. Missing everyone ...

Logistical notes for the day: (1) I took a pretty good-sized rock chip to my windshield earlier in the day…with only one more day of driving to go, one finally got me. It didn’t “spread” (yet) but obviously I’ll need have it repaired soon. (2) I hit 12,000 miles driven on this road trip adventure, today.

I don't know why we're so excited....check back with us in a few hours when we're STILL in Texas! We stopped on the line to gas up. We threw on our old cowboy boots and our hats and walked around the TA for a bit. We tried really hard to look like it was just another day. :-) Back to singing along at the top of our lungs to all our old country songs! PS.
