Oct. 12th

Today we woke up to see a layer of frost and the outside temperature at 0 C. Since we felt we were past most of the scenery that we wanted to see we decided to take the Ohio turnpike toll highway and make better time. The drive was only 4:15 hours but we were able to travel quite a distance primarily because we are out of the hills and onto a prairie landscape. We really aren't in a tourist ...

... He asked a lot of questions and enjoyed the performances...we were really proud and excited to have him there.

After the second show, John got out of make-up, Mom said goodbye to a couple of performers since this was the last time she'd catch the show, and the four of us took off for a Mexican restaurant nearby. Family update

My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

Today is John and my 13th wedding anniversary. A bit bittersweet, but pretty wonderful to spend it with family. Our family bought us a gift card to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner tonight. There is so much love here right now.
