There must be something to "border fever" because we busted out a solid 31.75 mile day. This lays us up to Callahans with only 2.8 to go. From there we will get in touch with Ruthy who is being visited in Ashland by a friend who will have a car. They will drive us from Callahans to Ashland where we will spend the weekend and figure out what is going on with the ...

On our way to Peru by way of L.A. and Miami. The eagle meets the condor. We were surprised to discover that Peru is same latitude as northern Australia! The equator runs thru northern Peru near our first stay in the amazon. Interesting to note days and nights are always of equal length near the ...

By the time we reached Ashland it was 89F (32C). We saw a Costos store on our way in and after Charlene ...

... When I arrive home in August I will be moving into a new house with 2 of my roommates in Ashland. I don't want to be completely broke for the last few months of summer! The next few days before I depart on my trip will consist of studying/finishing my finals, packing up my room on Frances Lane, have a few goodbye drinks with friends, and carefully packing my Europe backpack (yes, my 6 week trip essentials must be shoved into one backpack...this level ...

... and Molly pulls hard at the leash. She sets Maverick off so now we have two dogs pulling at the leash! What fun! What appears to be a couple of squirrels are uncharacteristically inanimate- like haven't moved one iota. We let Molly smell the "squirrel" and she loses interest. The "squirrels" are like sized cast iron lawn art dogs!
