Vam arribar a Mazatlan despres de 14h amb ferry i 8 pel.licules tragades. Sentats al voltant de camioners, vam tenir la sort que els nostres companys de cabina (uns americans borratxos) van marxar i vam tenir seients lliures per poder dormir estirats.
Un cop allá ens vam allotjar a casa d'una dona que llogava habitacions anomenada Dora Alicia. L'unic problema que tenia aquesta senyora era que a les 7 del mati ...

... few days in Maz was to find the imigration office and have our visas extended. Once there we realised that we were given 6 months all along, not 3 as we originally thought. Not quite sure why 3 months was stuck in our heads. Silly us never even bothered to confirm our suspicions. Doh!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this town. Its dated look has a certain charm. It may never regain its heyday but hopefully finds a new niche to keep it going.

... VHF radio with a section for "rides and crew." There are three other groups also waiting to advertise themselves by the time we get to the marina, so we wait in line for our turn. When the "rides and crew" announcement finally comes on, it happens so quicky the guy ahead of us misses the opportunity to speak up...and the VHF announcer moves on to the next topic on the list. ... were by far the best tacos and vampiros, Vampiros are hard shelled tortillas with meat and beans and melted cheese kind of like a tostada. We ended up on a beach all to ourselves, palm trees with huge coconuts on them all over the dirt just beyond the sandy beach. A few restaurants and bars lined up along the roadside as well with lots of beer signs. We found an isolated out of the way cove were we were seemingly away from the main road, and set up to camp there ...
