... and I immediately knew I'd made a wise decision in letting go of the walk for these first six or seven kilometres. After all, I do now realise this walk is a very different journey than simply the physical one.

We arrived at Walsh le Willows and the Church of St Mary the Virgin. We were once again impressed by its size and the decorative stone work around the entrance porch. Its true hidden glory though, was revealed as we stepped inside, looking up we gazed ...

... polluted water. Wroxham Broad is now a popular sailing area with the Norfolk Sailing Clubhouse on the foreshore. Wroxham reminded me of Bobbin Head (on the Hawkesbury River) although Bobbin Head doesnt have a village like Hoveton on the other side of the river. We travelled further up the coast to check out Winterton-on-Sea which is a cute little seaside village where one of Ian's work colleagues lived as a child. The countryside, especially on the road from Norwich to Great Yarmouth was flat with lots of horses as well as cows in the fields. There were a ...

Norwich

Well, we did it. Landed in London, cleared Customs and on our way. Heathrow Express to Paddington Station, a Circle Line train and a District Line train to Liverpool Street Station and the 4.30pm train to Norfolk. Still managed to not co-ordinate the weather and my wardrobe. London was very murky - they had had a huge thunderstorm on Thursday night and it rained in places on Friday too although we missed that. So, it was hot and humid and not ...
