... us. But that was a long jump away and I had to take the leap of faith, untie the rope, pull up the stake and then jump back onto the boat. I managed. We wanted to go back to where we slept the first night and that is where we headed next. The Scottish Highland Cattle was still there and we moored. Two further craft came, moored and left again. ... around and went back to the free mooring with the three already moored boats. We knew there would be no chance in hell we would be able to dock easily but fortunately the owners of the other boats soon came out and we simply threw them the ropes (hitting one of the Samaritans into the face) and they heaved us into the narrow but perfectly adequate space.

We got up the normal time and had breakfast. I packed and Jane did all the important things like ironing and washing up the last few plates.
