... to be able to see a grade 6 rapid. The water rushes down and the waves are quite high - at times 15 m above the river floor.

Watched a gondola go across the river at the whirlpool - the river does an almost 90 degree bend.You can see the water swirling and changing direction before crossing its own path to leave the whirlpool.

Continued along the river to Niagara on the Lake. We drove past lots of large homes and vineyards. In the small area there are over 30 ...

... I’m an unwitting fan of realism, the straight up and mundane one. Don’t quite know what that says about me, but anyway...there were loads of sculptures which gave a unique insight into Inuit culture, from their hunting of bears to the representation of their community. So all in all, definitely worth the $5 I paid to get in.

Howard and Margaret live in a very English-feeling 80-year-old brick home, with a 100-ft-tall elm in the back yard, stained glass in the landing window, and beautiful wood wainscoting on the first floor. They've lived there for nearly 50 years.

So I suggest, if you get the chance, travel
to The Falls, order a burger from one of the many ‘cookie cutter’ chain
restaurants then spend the rest of the day walking along the boardwalk
photographing the Falls and soaking up the amazing achievements of both nature
and man, you’ll need to do this to help move that burger through anyway…
