We found couple of new gardens that we didn't know about before. First up was Maui Nui in Kahului. Their focus is growing plants that are native. We had a tour by Kaoni (John). We learned how Ti leaves are used for healing, Anapanapa is used as a soap, Noni as a general tonic, and more. Very unique. Then we went to The Sacred Garden. It was different as well. Very Zen. Lots ...

Our day today started off almost as early as yesterday with all four of us waking up around 5am. The first thing out of Macyn's mouth was "Can we go to the beach?" Unfortunately, it was off to the grocery store instead. We found some pretty cool stuff at the grocery store. Coconut syrup, pineapple Crush and fresh, amazing sushi. Finally, it was off to the beach. Even though it was only 8:30 in the morning, we couldn't take ...

... eating off the rocks; snack time for the turtles! Every once in a while they would poke their heads up for air and everyone would go AWWW.... (me included). Because who can resist a sea turtle's face? It's just SO cute! Unfortunately we didn't have our camera with us or else I would have posted pictures. We went back to the condo and me and mom went back to World Whale Day to do some shopping. I got some Pates de Fruits in various different ...

... pig is incredible. But after a couple of hours we get bored of the beach, dump the board back at the house, then give the wild side of the Hana highway a go! It's the most mental windy road, surrounded by jungle, sheer cliffs in places, coconuts lying in the road, and a lot of crazy drivers. Relaxing it ain't!! Mark had fun but really needs the road to himself. We drive to Honumanu bay - a beauty surfing spot on ...

... pick up some staples for the week. We arrived at our resort at 7:30 p.m.

One thing we noticed is how early it gets dark here. By 7:30 it is pitch black with the stars and moon shining.

Our acomodations are luxurious and clean. The surrounding grounds and gardens are lush and green with pools and waterfalls next to the ocean. The pool looked inviting too!

The atmosphere should be conducive to great relaxation!
