... so we moved into the the little pool, the spa, which was tooooo hot and so settled on the in-between pool, the swimming pool, which was juuuuust right! Then went for a walk up the beach before returning to the room and seeing the disappointing finish of Stage 16 of the the Tour, although I did notice the final climb was over the Col de Pyresourde, which the 3 Amegos climbed this time last year - I was wondering if Cadel might stop for some crepes at the top like we did last ...

A very quaint and peaceful vibe here. It reminds me of being in the hinterland in Australia, especially with the strong smell of eucalyptus in the air..though apparently has the reputation and known as a redneck place full of tough cowboys years ago.

... else about the turbulence effects on her stomach was looking serious in the back seat of the plane. Maija wasn’t the only who had some problems with the effects of the small carrier because next to her was two dogs who looked like throwing up during the 30 minute flight, luckily they didn’t because our bags were in front of them!

Molokini has a vast expanse of multi-coloured coral and, being inside the crescent, you are shielded from the surf. As a result, the visibility was the best I had yet. I didn't see any turtles or big fish, but I saw more schools of fish, particularly close to land. Sea urchins were everywhere.

Day 3 - Snorkeling in Molokini

... with ginger ale soda (much needed!) and dessert and we started to feel better. On the way back they brought the sails out and we were able to sit back and quietly make our way back to shore where we saw more whales and a huge sea turtle swimming around.

After our snorkeling adventure we drove down to the resort area of Wailea and shopped at the upscale mall there and enjoyed ice cream cones. We then drove through old downtown Lahaina near our resort ...
