... hit by a second wave. Water, salt, and sand leaked out of my nose for about half an hour after that. Luckily, Carissa and Watson caught the show from the balcony. :) After the paddle all three families convened at the pool for some fun splashy action. We are so proud of Macyn as she now has zero fear of her face being in the water. The snorkel trip should be fun for her now. :). Also while at the pool I found ...
It has been nearly two weeks since we left Papua New Guinea, and it is remarkable to look back at what a unique and interesting trip we had there! Nearly everyone we meet has a similar reaction when we mention we were in PNG, "Wow, I've heard it is primitive and dangerous". Took some pictures and video (...I thought...apparently I haven't figured it out quite yet...). Swam with a few turtles :). Then got buried in three massive waves. I'm going to guess they were coming in easily 8 feet high. Wasn't fun. Three successive ones like that and I was quite done. At the other end of the shore I'd guess the waves ...
