... bus transfers back and arrived back at the UNit about 5pm. We then went for a swim in the Resort Pool and a SPA.
The pool was refreshing however that was undone by the Spa Pool which we left like lobsters because of the heat of the Spa. Boy! Are they hot over here. In OZ they are about 36 degrees whereas here about 40. It great.
The rest of the day was spent inside recuperating and reading. Plus the odd drink of Rum.
... waves for a few minutes, then took a short trail down to a small waterfall and pool. This waterfall was right on the beach! Looking one way we saw the green plants and the white waterfall, and the other way we saw a sandy beach leading to the ocean. It looked like a perfect spot! We took a few pictures then drove back out the way we had come.
Our last stop before getting to Hana was Wai'anapanapa Park. This park has a black sand beach, lava tube ...
... I know they are there. We managed to get onto a boat doing a sunset cruise at 4pm and it only cost $32US in total for both of us, madness! To fill in the time before the cruise we just headed up the road another couple of bays to Polo Beach, over this side it is much easier to get to the beaches than up near Kaanapali, actually the whole pace over here seems much better. It was an awesome spectacle. Surfers were having a wild time in the waves while some great hippy musicians were playing drums and others (men, women, children) danced freely. We all watched in awe as the sun set enveloping us in a red glow and the beat of the drum got louder and louder. Music was all around us. Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) had the opportunity to entertain ...
... several pit stops along the way to check out the beautiful rain forest. It was the strangest forest I’ve ever been in – all the trees were labeled with their name and where the seed originated from. Either the west cost of the States, Australia, New Zealand, it was amazing. What made it weird was that there aren’t really any animals in the forest, just birds.
