    ... many many people. They have a neat operation loading foot passengers through one level and bike passengers on ramps through the lower levels; they must make an absolute motzah in each trip. Eventually, we arrive back on the Embacadero and are dismayed to learn that there are no bike ramps on this side and you have to push your bike up the stairs to get it out (I kid you not).     ... car. We get on the road for our first attempt at turning up at a hotel with no reservation. Third time lucky we get a cheap room near the airport. We catch up on washing and sleep. This area is much better and we finally relax. We research beaches near by and try to look for our base to stay further down the coast.
