Day 4 - Rome - Pisa - Montecatini
... boys were welcomed over the public address and had a parade with other youth teams on the field at half time.
After the match the boys played some touch on the field. We then headed off to our hotel in Montecini. A very nice town with narrow streets and typical Tuscan architecture.
The boys had some free time after supper to walk around the town and explore.

The drive to Pisa was fine but we got lost trying to find the parking area to catch the shuttle to the site. In the end, we just drove to the site and got a parking spot within a block of the Field of Miracles. Note to self ...this is the off season... We CAN get parking spots.

School Day: Time for some homework
A rest day turned into a catch up day. Kids got to sleep in and relax in the morning and then catch up on some journaling. Rome was crazy busy and they needed time to take in what they had learned in Rome before we start the next leg of our journey in Tuscany.
Lots of naps today for David and I.
David took the kids out for a short drive around the countryside. They found a castle. They ended up in Empoli, the bigger centre in our area.
