... spending quite so much time in Heathrow Airport as we thought we would arrive a bit later.

The bus picked up time and only stopped in Leicester and Milton Keynes.

All in all it represented reasonable value for money as we booked quite a long way in advance however the train would have been more comfortable.

It will be interesting to see what the return trip will be like in a few weeks ...

... waterfalls, hedges, peacocks and Alex (Ahem!). After the cheap walk in the park we promptly headed to the nearest pub to satisfy Alex's insatiable appetite. Think the gut busting triple meat roast dinner did the trick. All in all the cheap walk around the park tallied up to around £50 including entrance, petrol, tea and lunch...not so cheap but definitely cheerful! ...

... that I should be able to get the Uzbek visa in either Istanbul or Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. I also have to travel to Manchester on my return from Hong Kong and before I go to Gran Canaria, so that I can get my Chinese visa as a day case and not have my passport stuck at the Chinese Embassy in London.

So the flights are booked and its starting to seem so real. We have booked the flights for the 16th September, only 8 days after the wedding so no messing around its time to get out of England.

We arrive in bangkok on the 17th for 1 night then its off to Vietnam!! Cant wait.....but lots between here and there like the ...
